ACCUNIQ
BODY COMPOSITION ANALYSIS
ACCUNIQ develops multifrequency segmental body composition analysis technology. It uses the advanced BIA (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis) technique, which, through its innovations and technology, allows the method to correlate with DEXA measurements.
BODY COMPOSITION ANALYSIS
BIA is safe and sends a small electric current through the body to measure resistance to current flow. Body composition analysis provides the in-depth data needed to improve diagnosis and treatment.
Body fat is a bad conductor of current.
Muscle and water are good current conductors.
high correlation WITH DEXA
There are several methods for measuring body composition. Examples are Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) or underwater weighing. However, dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) is most likely considered the most accurate means of analysis, since it accurately analyzes fat, muscle and bone and involves no radiation exposure.
ACCUNIQ conducted clinical trials with IHT, a professional clinical organization based in Texas, USA, to verify accuracy with DEXA. The result shows that ACCUNIQ’s analysis is more accurate than that of its competitors.
MULTI-FREQUENCY ANALYSIS
ACCUNIQ uses 6 frequencies between 1 kHz and 1000kHz to accurately analyze intracellular water, extracellular water and total body water.
Frequencies below 100kHz – extracellular water analysis (1)
Frequencies higher than 100kHz – total body water analysis (2)
EIGHT-POINT CONTACT ELECTRODES
ACCUNIQ uses the 8-point contact electrode method, which is highly accurate despite its complexity.
Eight electrodes can be placed on the hands and feet to analyze body composition in a stable manner.
