VACUMED
INTERMITTENT NEGATIVE PRESSURE THERAPY
WEYERGANS TECHNOLOGY
Using Space Technology in Regeneration and Recovery Acceleration with intermittent negative pressure therapy.
Weyergans has medical-scientific knowledge and a clear commitment to evidence and efficacy, thus supplying only products whose efficacy is confirmed in practice. It constantly sets new benchmarks in the sector, revolutionising the status quo and challenging the common dogmas of the competition. For this reason, Weyergans’ medical innovations, as well as its patented and certified treatment concepts, are used in clinics, rehabilitation centres and other leading medical facilities. Its products benefit mainly physicians and professors specialising in vascular medicine (prevention and acute treatment). Intermittent negative pressure therapy equipment is used in several areas, such as regeneration and recovery acceleration and rehabilitation.
The most important pillar of High Care® Medial is the proven intermittent vacuum therapy (IVT), delivered by means of the VACUMED® device (variants: VACUSPORT®, VACUMED® A.N.S.). This exclusive low-pressure treatment was developed in collaboration with Weyergans and the institute of the German Society for Aerospace Medicine. As a result of the special technique, the low-pressure tube for the body and arms is known and recognised internationally.
VACUMED® Flow Regeneration System — innovative treatment with Intermittent Negative Pressure aimed at several areas of medicine.
VACUMED®
Regeneration System
A new system for faster regeneration, especially of the lower limbs.
It offers new paths to scientific knowledge by adding a further solution for improving physical performance.
The patented VACUMED® device is currently used in specialities such as Sports Medicine, Internal Medicine, Angiology and Vascular Surgery, Cardiology, Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine, Anaesthesiology (chronic pain), Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Neurosurgery and Plastic Surgery.
THE PHYSICAL PRINCIPLE IS ALTERNATING VACUUM:
The application of intermittent negative pressure therapy
The technique consists of accelerating microcirculation through the dilation and compression of the capillaries, due to the cyclic negative and positive (atmospheric) pressure applied to the lower body.
Use of intermittent negative pressure therapy

Two success stories of patients treated with VACUMED® for 5 weeks, twice a week, followed by one treatment per month for 6 months.
Treatment
Treatment with the VACUMED® device consists of the constant alternation of intermittent waves of negative pressure (vacuum) and positive pressure (atmospheric pressure).
The negative pressure period for the lower limbs acts mainly at the level of the arteries, promoting a dilation of the capillary vessels, which improves perfusion. There is an increase in capillarisation (development of new capillary vessels), which means that oxygenated blood flow reaches the tissues, organs and musculature more effectively, resulting in numerous benefits.
During the positive pressure period, in turn, the venous and lymphatic systems recover from their dilation phase, improving return flow and decongesting the vessels, while lymphatic drainage is improved.
