The latest addition to the Winback range, the BACK3TX, plays on multifrequency with a dual core able to produce three different currents, emitting several at the same time to obtain different effects simultaneously and thus speed up treatment. The advantage? Treatments are reduced from 20 to 15 minutes on average and are more effective than a classic single-frequency treatment. Winback is now reinventing non-invasive currents to activate the body’s metabolism. Each selected frequency has physiological effects that have long been recognised in the world of physiotherapy.
Winback’s currents
• TECAR high frequency for metabolic action
TECAR is a dynamic high-frequency current between 300 KHz and 1 MHz. The benefits of the TECAR current are cellular, diathermic and analgesic. The wide frequency range of Winback Tecar therapy and the many accessories available make it possible to act on all types of tissue and at different depths, producing several effects: cellular action, pain relief and diathermy.
• Hi-EMS medium frequency for muscle recruitment
Hi-EMS creates a modulated medium-frequency current, stimulating superficial or deep muscles to obtain a practically painless contraction. The medium-frequency current (between 1.5 and 4kHz) has the property of lowering tissue impedance. Hi-EMS integrates a second, dynamic low-frequency signal (between 1 and 100Hz) that makes it possible to stimulate the different types of muscle fibre. Its effect can be targeted recruitment of deep muscles (focal) or chain recruitment of superficial muscles (radial).
• Hi-TENS low frequency for better pain control
Hi-TENS is a high-frequency pulsed signal that generates transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS). Hi-TENS therapy uses specific waveforms in the 300kHz range to eliminate skin resistance and emit an analgesic signal, providing immediate effects that last longer than TENS, and long-term effects through the release of endo-morphomimetic substances. For acute pain, the effect will be immediate and direct through saturation of the nociceptors. For chronic pain, the effect will be long-lasting, focusing on the causes of the pain.
Multifrequency for optimised treatments
The RET handpiece is a catalyst for the other currents, acting as an enhancer of pain relief, muscle actions (contractures and drainage) and metabolism. The mix of frequencies makes it possible to take advantage of the best effects of each frequency band and amplify them.
• RET + Hi-TENS: a complete solution for pain treatment
Hi-TENS neurostimulation on the nociceptive fibres reduces pain immediately. RET diathermy releases the pressure on the nociceptors, which will resolve the cause of the pain. In acute conditions, this combination of currents will help manage pain and inflammation (for example, in sciatica). In chronic conditions, it allows better management of pain and of the healing process (for example, in tendinopathies).
• RET + Hi-EMS: stimulation of muscle action, action on deep contractures and drainage
In this combination, the effects of RET are “shifted” to the contracted muscle (RET being initially more effective in harder tissues, such as joints). Muscle recruitment with Hi-EMS increases resistance, while RET diathermy concentrates on the resistance, thus releasing the targeted muscle tension.
For deep contractures, deep muscle recruitment with Hi-EMS increases resistance and concentrates the effect of the diathermy.
For drainage, deep diathermy induces vasodilation and the chain muscle recruitment generated by Hi-EMS, producing a mechanical pumping effect.
• RET + Hi-EMS + Hi-TENS: relaxing and analgesic
Finally, the combination of the three currents allows their effects to accumulate. RET thus acts as an enhancer of both the decontracting effect of the Hi-EMS current and the analgesic effects of the Hi-TENS current. This combination makes it possible to treat the symptom and the cause at the same time, giving a long-term answer to the patient’s condition, all quickly and effectively.
